Relaxation day ends at noon, when Miles and I go to try some good photos of me and some of the roofed wooden bridges around here. I ride back and forth seven or eight times, but problems with the camera's delay when taking pics means the results are so-so. But the worst thing is that a guy in a pickup stops to chat with Miles about the MZ ES250/2 he used to race - same bike as mine - and Miles neither waves me over, nor gets the guys phone # or anything, but just lets him drive off!!! When Miles then tells me about it, I'm really upset over having missed this against-astronomical-odds opportunity to speak with a local ES owner (still am, actually), but there's nothing to do. He's gone....
Pat's horse has trouble with one hoof, so it gets a 20-minute hoof-bath twice a day. Horses usually live twenty-something years, but this lady is 35 years old.
Above and below: Pics taken with the good camera, instead of the iPhone, for an upcoming magazine article.
We drive to Lebanon, New Hampshire where Pat'n'Miles' son Zeb & wife Wynne has invited us and her parents for dinner. Nice folks, nice evening, nice drive. Vermont is beautiful.
